Ahoy! and other nautical expressions...

Everyone has opinions, these are mine.
Now watching: American Psycho (2000)

Verdict: I don’t get it….. I’ve read that this is an awesome movie, so I finally got around to watching it, and I just don’t get it.  It’s a guy on wall street who has a seemingly normal life who turns out to be a completely crazy serial killer.  The best part was when he killed Jared Leto, it was fairly amusing.  I don’t know, maybe if you’re more intellectual than me then you would like it?

Now watching: Casper (1995)

Verdict: Definitely watch it.  I’ve seen this too many times to count, but it never ceases to make me happy :).  For those of you who haven’t seen it, it’s about a therapist father and his daughter moving into this super creepy/amazing house that turns out to be haunted by the cutest ghost ever.  Madness ensues but there’s a happy ending.  The young Christina Ricci is awesome as always, but the cherry on top is really the house.  It’s almost my dream house.  Anyway, with Halloween creeping up on us, add Casper to your list.

Now watching: Religulous (2008)

Verdict: Watch it.  That’s all.  Just watch it.  It’s amazing.

Now watching: Stephen Fry in America (2008)

Verdict: Meh….it was alright.  Basically this is a BBC miniseries where Stephen Fry tours around all of the 50 states.  I really liked the first few episodes that were on the east coast and in the south.  There is this very dry sense of humor and sometimes you can’t tell if that’s just how he talks, or if he’s mocking people.  Either way, I liked it.  But as he moved on to the west coast I lost interest.  His trip to Vegas was horrible, he never touched southern California, and he just camped for a night in Oregon.  I guess this would be perfect for someone who wants a semi-humorous tour of America.

…and you’re probably too normal for me :)

Now watching: Alarm (2008)

Verdict: Don’t watch it.  It’s fairly intriguing for the first half and then at the point where you would be wanting answers, they give you none.  It’s just basically about a girl with really bad PTSD and you can’t tell if everything that is happening to her is real or if she’s just super paranoid.  However, Aidan Turner is in it.  It’s almost worth watching just to see him.
